A large jar is always good for saving change. Decorate the lid, cut a hole in the top for coins and start saving. It's great for a vacation or Christmas fund. You'll be surprised how much you can "earn" in a year. <br />They are great as gift wrap too. Paint the top, add a bow and fill with baked goodies, baby items, or video/video store giftcard, popcorn and other goodies for a home movie night. Or drill a few holes in the bottom and add bathtub toys for little ones to keep in the tub for bathtime.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07305925905252173447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2811442027028381581.post-87517769775637963082009-09-17T11:14:52.700-07:002009-09-17T11:14:52.700-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Auxiliary Closethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04510206122567155764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2811442027028381581.post-75426579427880574542009-09-06T04:03:11.070-07:002009-09-06T04:03:11.070-07:00Mango, I had no way to e-mail you back directly so...Mango, I had no way to e-mail you back directly so I figured I would just put it here. It worked great, but finally began to crack. One is just various objects from games, or craft stuff, or manipulatives, that I didn't feel like putting away or didn't really have a home (like the game was thrown out because of too many missing pieces, but hey lets keep these because we can create our own game and use them for it). Another is currently holding those "grow in water" things. It was fun for the kids to be able to SEE them through the side of the container (vs. a bowl as we've used before). And since it isn't glass they could handle it on their own without me worrying about it getting broken ;)Aislinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06557164933983822000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2811442027028381581.post-65434479478093259532009-08-24T19:21:49.548-07:002009-08-24T19:21:49.548-07:00First ours got used for fireflies. It got filled with sand, sand poured out, got filled with water, water poured out--etc. You get the picture. Lame ideas I know.....=) I can't wait to check back and see what other people come up with! The Activity Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12788304617117189651noreply@blogger.com
