Best $45.00 Spent In A Long Time

My sons have been asking for water guns for so long now but for some reason I kept saying NO!!!

My hesitation was not because of any anti-gun issues but more on the lines that my children did not want a shooter of the Dollar Store variety they wanted "big ones, that go far", I did not see the need in spending $40.00 on two toy guns and truly my last reason was purely selfish - I did not want to get up to constantly refill them since at 2 and 4 they are not able to do that themselves.

Well at a recent trip to Toys R' Us, the boys saw their dream....

The FISHER-PRICE TURBO FILL BLASTER!!!!!!!!!!

and after some debate the boys won. Now kept in mind, we are in no way being reimbursed by Fisher-Price for proclaiming our love of their product but I think the pictures below say it all....

Keep in mind that I lost count somewhere around 32, that is the number of times I would have gotten up to refill their guns. Instead I got to sit back, watch, take pictures, laugh and occasionally get wet. What a blast!!!!!

Eat This - Not That ***Review***

Well, I have been informed by my Doctor that I need to make an immediate change in my lifestyle as some medical issues have come up. One of my problems that they are concerned about is that I have the cholesterol of a 75 year old, severely obese man which is not such a good thing when you are having trouble with your heart, not 75 nor severely overweight. Anyway, while at Target I saw the book, Eat This Not That by David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding and grabbed it.
On the back of the book it states that "with this simple illustrated guide to thousands of foods - along with the nutrition secrets that lead to fast and permanent weight loss - you'll make the smartest choice for you and your family, every time!

The front of the book states "thousands of easy food swaps that can save up 10, 20, 30 pounds - or more!
Basically, the book is filled with lots of pictures of products, everything from the perfect spices to beer and everything in between with lots of comparisons for each type of food.

For instance just making the switch from Haagen-Daz Mint Chip ice cream to Breyer's All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip you will save yourself 150 calories and 11 grams of fat!!!!
It is loaded with lots of food facts and nutritional information so I am hoping that with a little swapping I can cut my fats to a minimum.
A note on protein - according to this book, the FDA allows up to 5 fly eggs or 2 maggots per 500 grams. Yummy!!!!
Definitely a fun interesting book.

Bust The Crust - Boogie Wipes Review

I have to admit the first time that I saw a package of Boogie Wipes in the store I laughed and then thought to myself I am good with a baby wipe and a washcloth and then cold season hit. Being on my 5th package with number 6 already waiting in the closet, they have quickly become one of my new favorite baby/kid products. Being a mom of a baby unfortunate to be born with bad sinuses and a perpetual runny nose and a mother to a preschooler with sensory issues who hates to have his face washed, I soon realized these are a necessity in every diaper bag. They really do work better than a washcloth or a regular wet wipe and they smell great!!!!

The packaging states that Boogie Wipes are gentle saline wipes for little noses. Use for quick, effective clean up and relief of stuck on boogies caused by the common cold and allergies. Unique formula to dissolve mucous, moisturizes with vitamin E, chamomile and aloe, alcohol free, hypoallergenic and gentle enough for all ages.

I am very excited - I am in contact with the maker's of Boogie Wipes and they agreed to support my blog by providing one of my reader's a free sample of their product. So come back soon and let your friends know that a give-away contest will be coming real soon!
